Climate - challenges and opportunities

The Nordic region is facing climate and environmental changes in the years ahead. The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) projects that we will very likely see more severe windstorms, heavy rainfalls, heat waves and flooding. The Nordic countries must prepare for and prevent the consequences of climate and environmental changes.

 

Developments require all parts of the Nordic societies, politicians, public authorities, businesses and citizens alike, to consider the situation now and make a positive contribution to initiatives that improve the climate and the environment, each using their own potential and abilities.
